We need YOUR help!
The ASCA depends almost entirely on the generous cash donations
of individual climbers. If you ever clip a replaced bolt with "ASCA" stamped
on the hanger, you are doing so because a gracious climber sent
us a check. We wholeheartedly invite you to become one of these
gracious individuals and help the ASCA make climbing routes safe
for yourself and other climbers.
The ASCA is composed of a group of dedicated volunteers who enjoy
replacing deteriorating anchors on classic climbing routes. ASCA
rebolters have the time, experience and desire to replace even
more anchors with the help of your donation! The ASCA is an almost
entirely volunteer organization, with the only payment being
a small monthly salary to the Director. Please note that the
ASCA is always open to qualified applicants interested in the
position of Director. Please direct inquiries to firstname.lastname@example.org
Where will your money go?
Every $50 you donate will replace five to ten bolts: that is often an entire route! Each tax-deductible donation goes towards buying bolts in a number of classic climbing areas across the
United States including: Yosemite, Rumney, Joshua Tree, Calaveras Dome, Red Rocks, Eldorado Canyon, Flatirons, Indian Creek, Zion, Little Cottonwood Canyon and more. We are constantly expanding
to new areas and are always open to suggestions of where we should rebolt next.
Replacement in 2015
Since 1998, the ASCA has replaced over 14,000 bolts. The ASCA was
born in Yosemite and our replacement efforts have focused on some
of the longest classic routes in the western US. In 2015 we hope
to replace hundreds more bolts throughout the US. To do this we
need YOU to become a member of the ASCA rebolting effort. We could
greatly use your donation at one of the following levels:
$25 - Supporter
$50 - Contributor
$150 - Advocate
$1000 - Mentor
The ASCA is a 501(c)(3) organization and all contributions are tax-deductible. All members receive the ASCA newsletter. Send checks payable to:
